CANINE REMEDIAL MASSAGE

Canine remedial massage is a hands-on therapy designed to support your dog's muscles, movement and overall comfort. Whether they're getting older, recovering from an injury, living with ongoing stiffness or simply putting their body through a lot, massage can be a lovely addition to their care.

At Paws 4 Rehab, canine remedial massage is provided by Raeleen, our trained Canine Remedial Massage Therapist.

Why canine remedial massage?

Dogs can develop tight, tired and overworked muscles just like we can.

This can happen as they age, after injury, through sport or activity, or because they're compensating for discomfort somewhere else in their body. Remedial massage uses hands-on techniques to work with the muscles and soft tissues, helping relieve tension, support circulation and maintain comfortable movement.

Every dog is different, so their massage is tailored to them, how they're feeling and what their body needs on the day.

Who is it for?

Canine remedial massage can be suitable for dogs at all different ages and stages. We commonly see older dogs who are becoming a little stiffer, active and working dogs putting their bodies through a lot, and dogs who are recovering from injury or compensating for another sore area.

It can also simply be a lovely way to support your dog's ongoing comfort and wellbeing.

If your dog is currently injured, unwell or under veterinary care, get in touch and we can let you know whether massage is appropriate for them.

We spend a lot of time looking after our dogs, so we thought, why shouldn't their humans get looked after too?

On Wednesday afternoons at Paws 4 Rehab, you can book your dog in for a 30-minute canine remedial massage with Raeleen and book yourself a 30-minute wellness massage at the clinic too.

Come in together, both get a little TLC, and head home hopefully feeling a whole lot more relaxed!
